Atlanta Realtors just released this very informational Market Brief regarding DEMAND- Through their research they found that there has been a decrease of 6.1% from last year in June residential sales which totaled 5,392.
And, regarding PRICE, they show positive gains that are outpacing 2015’s figures. From last June to this June, the median sales price has increased 7.7% at $253,000. Increased 3.3% from last year, the sales average price is $311,000.
The SUPPLY has increased to a total of 5,848 new listings which is up 20.4% from June 2015 and up 7.7% from May. Over a 12 month period, the supply for sales has moved to 3.6 months.
The President of Atlanta Realtors, Lane McCormack said, "We are halfway through 2016 and the unit sales are up over 7% with 1,812 units more than the same time last year. We are excited to see our housing market remains strong and robust with average sales price increases year over year. I encourage homeowners and home purchasers to continue to use a REALTOR® for pricing and purchasing guidance in their transaction."
